Selected does not mean stored
The basement has weak reception and several selected pictures are visible. Then the phone rings or the browser closes. The important difference is between a file waiting on the page and a server-confirmed upload. The current queue lives only in the open page’s memory. It is not a durable archive and cannot promise recovery after the browser or device stops.
Check the response before leaving
Keep the camera original until the upload succeeds. Review failed entries, not just the first successful image. Up to twenty selected files are sent sequentially. A reception symbol or an apparently normal connection does not confirm a particular file was saved. For important records, also review the resulting project view before removing a local copy under the business’s agreed policy.
Retry the failed operation deliberately
Each queued upload attempt retains an idempotency identifier. Repeating the same operation can avoid storing a second original when the first save succeeded but its response was lost. This is not general detection of every similar photograph in a business. Retry failed entries explicitly rather than selecting the entire batch again and assuming the system will resolve all duplication.
A warning is not an offline mode
The page explains that reload, navigation and logout can discard the queue. A browser may show a leave-page warning, but mobile systems do not guarantee it. Durable offline capture would require protected local storage, fresh-session authorization, deletion and shared-device recovery rules. Those functions are planned, not part of the current online product, and must be tested under realistic interruption conditions.
Agree an interim workflow
If reception is unreliable, preserve the needed camera files and upload them in the correct project when a suitable connection is available. Decide how that temporary device storage fits the company’s privacy rules; avoid creating uncontrolled private archives. Use invented records to test failures and retries. Actual phone, network interruption and background behavior remain unfinished evidence rather than capabilities implied by a visible queue.
