A message arrives, but context may not

A fitter sends three pictures and writes “finished here”. Two days later the office needs the upstairs bathroom connection. Deliveries, voice messages and another site have pushed the pictures back. The files exist, but someone must supply their meaning from memory. A chat records communication; a project record needs a job, a stage and an understandable description.

Agree three details before taking pictures

Use a project name that the office and site understand in the same way. Add the area and construction stage, such as upstairs bathroom, first fix. Use those terms again at handover. Decide who checks the day’s record for missing context while someone can still revisit the location. A readable name matters more than an unexplained job number.

One useful note beats ten similar pictures

“Connection left of the door, before lining” says more than “done”. Take an overview followed by the relevant detail. Keep people and private belongings out of the frame where possible. Collect only what the agreed documentation purpose requires. If an image shows an unresolved point, turn that observation into a task with a next step and responsibility.

What the current product contributes

The browser product links uploaded photos to a project and stage. Notes, checklists and tasks remain in that context. Uploaded original bytes are preserved; separate derivatives support display and reports. There is no chat integration or automatic interpretation of a message history. Choose the correct project deliberately and check the uploaded result rather than assuming the file was assigned correctly.

Try the workflow on one job

Start with a small invented project. Ask a colleague who did not take the photos to find a specific connection using only the saved information. Record where they need help. Improve names and notes before adding more pictures. A successful supervised trial is useful feedback; it does not establish production readiness, legal acceptance or reliability on every physical phone.
